Here's how it all happened. I completed college, I got my design degree and then I was unemployed. During my unemployment, I figured I couldn't get lazy in between applying for jobs so I told myself I would make frequent trips to the gym. I purchased a large quantity of running gear since I figured I would be at the gym all the time. Little did I know I would end up falling in love with these performance pieces as it casually become my daily uniform for anywhere but the gym. Eventually, I refused to wear them to the gym because I didn't want to get my new active pieces ruined!
Then months flew by and I landed the ultimate corporate job that told me no jeans, no shorts, no sneakers and of course no athleisure...because this ain't no gym! Rebellion arose. How far could I possibly push the envelope to continue to develop this new obsession of mine? After a few warnings from up top for bending the rules, I realized I needed to be more clever. I came to the resolution that I would show a level of professionalism in my attire by utilizing my other love, that is, menswear, and by incorporating key elements such as upright collars, conservative lapels, and orthodox cuffs, I would top off my treasured performance pieces. Did it work? Well, I haven't been fired just yet...

All this to say--the collared shirt, the cycling jacket, the neoprene short, the nike air max liquids--these are a few of my favorite things...together. Are we going to work? Or are we going to go work out? Perhaps both? Who knows.
